Senior Front-End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build high-density healthcare interfaces including medical intake engines and provider charting dashboards
• Architect scalable client-side state management and robust frontend architectures
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to establish shared state patterns using React Native and Expo
• Champion user experience by making pragmatic design decisions within component systems
• Own frontend reliability, deployment pipelines, and client-side observability using Sentry or Datadog
• Integrate AI capabilities into product interfaces to automate clinical operations

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of frontend engineering experience
• Deep mastery of React and state architecture fundamentals
• Experience building and operating production React applications
• Strong eye for design and ability to work independently without pixel-perfect files
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and modern state management tools
• Experience using AI agentic tools to accelerate development workflows
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React Native and Expo
• Track record of setting technical direction across teams (Staff level)
• Experience handling sensitive PHI and healthcare regulations
