Senior Front-End Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for the digital experience platform, supporting reusable web and mobile experiences.
• Lead the development of cross-platform user interfaces using React and TypeScript from a single shared codebase.
• Own complex front-end features from technical design through implementation, testing, and production support.
• Drive the build-out and governance of reusable UI components aligned to the Digital Platform shared design system.
• Integrate headless CMS content into page templates and component layouts.
• Set accessibility implementation standards for WCAG 2.2 compliance.
• Act as a front-end technical lead within agile squads, managing technical risk and providing guidance to other developers.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Architecture, and QA teams to ensure iterative delivery and platform health.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional front-end development experience, specifically with large-scale digital products or member portals.
• Deep hands-on experience with React, the React ecosystem, and TypeScript.
• Strong experience integrating with a headless CMS (e.g., Contentful) and consuming REST APIs.
• Practical knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and implementation.
• Working knowledge of Azure-hosted front ends, Azure DevOps, and enterprise cloud environments.
• Proven experience acting as a technical lead on complex front-end workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with utility-first styling practices and design tokens.
• Experience with localization and internationalization (English/French).
• Experience with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) or orchestration-layer patterns.
