Senior Fraud Detection Analyst

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and take action on suspicious internal and external fraud alerts to mitigate financial loss.
• Perform confirmation calls to customers regarding suspicious operations to ensure transaction legitimacy.
• Define immediate response actions for fraud events and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor fraud trends and patterns using data analysis tools to propose improvements to monitoring rules and controls.
• Provide fraud prevention services across Scotiabank Peru and its group companies (CrediScotia, SCI, AFP Profuturo, etc.).
• Support the management of NIRAs and participate in risk assessments for new business initiatives.
• Collect, update, and report management information for both local and corporate reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Administration, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles within the financial sector.
• Advanced knowledge of banking products, operations, and current security regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Bantotal, Outlook, and MS Office.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Availability to work 48-hour weekly rotating shifts, including mandatory Saturdays and Sundays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fraud monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools.
