Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy bespoke full-stack software solutions to address complex customer challenges.
• Work directly with strategic Global Defense and Security customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
• Develop robust applications including front-end, back-end, data integration, and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify and implement reusable patterns from customer solutions to inform broader platform development.
• Leverage AI tooling and an AI-first mindset to drive rapid iteration and deliver value quickly.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to code reviews to foster a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with geospatial software development and concepts (e.g., Rasterio, Fiona, Shapely, OpenLayers, GDAL).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Must hold a current active security clearance (TS or TS/TSI).
• Willingness to travel 30-50% to customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript, Java, Go, or C#.
