Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated technical owner for large enterprise customers
• Ship code, reliable software, and systems that carry production traffic
• Pioneer patterns for deploying Mintlify inside large organizations
• Scope ambiguous customer asks into shippable plans
• Design and deliver self-hosted and VPC deployments, SSO, and least-privilege access architectures
• Build enterprise-specific integrations with customer systems
• Debug production issues across the full stack and own them to resolution
• Productize deployment patterns into self-hosting packages, runbooks, and templates
• Feed field knowledge back into the core product team

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production ownership
• Backend-focused engineering experience
• Direct customer-facing experience managing technical expectations
• Comfort with enterprise deployment realities including cloud infrastructure, networking, and SSO
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous founding experience
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), solutions architecture, or professional services
