Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with account leads and customer technical teams to scope and architect data sources and production paths
• Embed with customer engineering teams to build production-grade pipelines and integrate into cloud platforms
• Design and ship LLM- and agent-powered systems including retrieval and agentic workflows
• Harden field learnings into the shared platform, including knowledge graphs, ontologies, and agent frameworks
• Build evaluation, tracing, and tooling to measure accuracy, hallucination rates, and latency
• Develop clean interfaces and reusable building blocks for the core platform

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production software and data systems
• Deep experience with AI/LLM systems, including RAG and tool-use
• Strong data engineering skills with experience in modern cloud platforms like Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Ability to work in both customer-facing and infrastructure-focused modes
• Comfort with regular travel to customer sites (approximately 10-20%)
• Strong architectural instinct for solving ambiguous problems with messy data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in grocery, retail, or supply chain data domains
• Knowledge of graph and vector stores such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate
• Experience with agent frameworks like LangGraph or MCP protocols
• Background in MLOps, model serving, or observability for LLM systems
• Prior experience in forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering
