Senior Food Service Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food service operations, including the preparation and timely delivery of meals for patients, staff, and functions
• Supervise, roster, and support catering staff to ensure efficient service delivery and a positive team culture
• Ensure strict compliance with HACCP, infection control, and food safety standards
• Maintain tray accuracy in alignment with specific dietary requirements
• Manage stock levels, including ordering, stocktakes, and minimizing food waste
• Collaborate with dietitians, nursing staff, and other key stakeholders to resolve meal-related issues
• Lead staff training, induction, and competency development
• Identify and implement service improvements and operational efficiencies

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and WH&S principles
• Food safety training (or willingness to obtain relevant certification)
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives
• Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or institutional food service environments
• Knowledge of special dietary requirements
• Familiarity with menu management systems such as Chefmax or Delegate
