Senior Fluids Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collect design requirements from multidisciplinary teams to create fluids system concepts
• Lead architecture trades for major fluids systems and transform decisions into hardware
• Develop fluids system concept of operations for ground, flight, and recovery phases
• Perform gas and liquid fluids system sizing analysis including incompressible and compressible flow
• Design and analyze launch vehicle tubing, manifold, and mounting systems
• Create CAD models and drawings for structural survival under vehicle load cases
• Coordinate with suppliers for part procurement
• Execute manufacturing, integration, and qualification testing of fluids systems
• Manage schedules and budgets for assigned fluids systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 4+ years of experience in rocket fluids systems, engines, or valves
• 1+ years of experience leading technical projects
• Strong fundamentals in compressible flow, thermodynamics, structures, and cryogenics
• Extensive experience with CAD tools like Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance stackups, and material selection
• Hands-on experience with fabrication and assembly
• Proficiency with fluid analysis tools such as Python, Matlab, or Siemens AMESim
