Senior Fluids Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design valves for propellant, pressurant, and thermal fluid systems
• Develop fluid storage hardware including propellant tanks and pressure vessels
• Design fluid routing architecture including tubing, manifolds, and fittings
• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic analysis for component sizing and performance verification
• Conduct structural analysis using FEA and hand calculations
• Select materials compatible with cryogenic and high-pressure environments
• Generate detailed component drawings and interface control documents
• Support component and system-level test campaigns
• Work with manufacturing to resolve build issues and improve producibility
• Support vehicle integration and ground system interfaces

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or related engineering field
• 3+ years of experience designing fluid system hardware for flight or high-performance applications
• Experience with fluid system analysis (pressure drop, flow sizing, or thermal-fluid modeling)
• Hands-on experience taking hardware from design through build and test
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft propulsion fluid systems
• Familiarity with cryogenic fluid handling and insulation systems
• Knowledge of material compatibility with LOX, methane, hydrazine, or NTO
• Experience with additive manufacturing for fluid components
• Familiarity with AIAA, SAE, MIL-spec, or ASME standards
