Senior Flight Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mission-critical software for advanced aerospace and defense systems
• Develop real-time flight software architecture for autonomous systems
• Integrate guidance, navigation, and control software with onboard sensors (IMUs, GPS, seekers)
• Implement high-reliability communication between processors using CAN, UART, and Ethernet
• Build and maintain Hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and software-in-the-loop (SITL) testing infrastructure
• Support telemetry, logging, system health monitoring, and flight test debugging

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Flight Software Engineer
• Strong proficiency in C or C++ for performance-critical systems
• Experience with real-time or near-real-time software
• Experience with sensor integration (IMU, GPS, cameras, radar, etc.)
• Experience working alongside Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) teams
• Proficiency with Linux-based embedded platforms
• Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging buses, and reading datasheets
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
