Senior Flight Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect flight software solutions across sustaining engineering, autonomous satellite constellations, and embedded hardware products
• Lead system trade studies and design solutions in collaboration with Avionics, GNC, and Operations teams
• Develop and maintain robust regression testing frameworks for flight and embedded software
• Guide multi-disciplinary engineering teams through anomaly resolution and technical risk mitigation
• Define technical standards, facilitate architecture meetings, and approve designs
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical coaching

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a relevant discipline
• Deep expertise in C/C++, avionics software, and embedded systems on resource-constrained hardware
• Proficiency in REST APIs, Linux, TypeScript/JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular/React/Vue, Git, and Python
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with spacecraft disciplines like propulsion, thermal, and GNC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Network programming expertise (Sockets/WebSockets)
• Familiarity with NodeJS/NPM build systems and tooling
• Elasticsearch experience
