About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily scheduling operations for flights, simulators, and check rides
- Supervise student staff and coordinate scheduling activities across multiple locations
- Manage student flight blocks, instructor assignments, and course registration
- Maintain and update scheduling systems (ETA/SIMS) to ensure data accuracy
- Coordinate checkrides, DPE availability, and rescheduling due to operational disruptions
- Serve as a key liaison between Flight Operations, the Registrar, IT, and other university departments
- Monitor compliance with academic and operational requirements
- Prepare reports and provide operational insights to department leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, IT, Aviation, or related field preferred)
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience in scheduling, operations, or student support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with complex information systems and data management tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ETA, SIMS, or Campus Solutions systems
- Knowledge of flight training operations and academic scheduling processes
- Experience with timekeeping, scheduling, or operational systems
- Familiarity with FAA and accreditation-related requirements
