About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily scheduling operations for flights, simulators, and check rides
  • Supervise student staff and coordinate scheduling activities across multiple locations
  • Manage student flight blocks, instructor assignments, and course registration
  • Maintain and update scheduling systems (ETA/SIMS) to ensure data accuracy
  • Coordinate checkrides, DPE availability, and rescheduling due to operational disruptions
  • Serve as a key liaison between Flight Operations, the Registrar, IT, and other university departments
  • Monitor compliance with academic and operational requirements
  • Prepare reports and provide operational insights to department leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, IT, Aviation, or related field preferred)
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience in scheduling, operations, or student support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with complex information systems and data management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ETA, SIMS, or Campus Solutions systems
  • Knowledge of flight training operations and academic scheduling processes
  • Experience with timekeeping, scheduling, or operational systems
  • Familiarity with FAA and accreditation-related requirements
