Senior Flight Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own Flight Control Laws development activities from requirements flown down, implementation up to integration and testing
• Contribute to control architectures from high level needs and characteristics
• Contribute to linear design including trimming, linearizing flight dynamics models, control laws synthesis, and linear analyses
• Contribute to nonlinear design, verification, and clearance testing
• Actively work on improving processes, methods, and tools for flight control

Requirements

• BS or MS in Aeronautical Engineering or related fields
• 10+ years of professional experience in Flight Control Law development in fly-by-wire programs
• Expert-level knowledge of fixed-wing handling qualities
• Industry experience with aircraft electronic flight control systems
• Background in aerodynamics and flight dynamics
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
