Senior Fitter/Welder

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit fabricated metal parts according to blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Perform tack welding on pieces to prepare for final welding processes.
• Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
• Position pieces into jigs, holding fixtures, and guides using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to technical specifications.
• Adhere to all standard safety practices and participate in safety initiatives or committees.

Requirements

• Proven experience performing as a Level 3 Fitter/Welder.
• Ability to fit and tack weld subassemblies or jackets.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical sketches.
• Ability to accurately measure components within specified tolerances.
