Senior Fitter/Welder

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated metal parts according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches.
• Perform tack welding on pieces to prepare them for final welding.
• Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
• Mark weld points on parts or subassemblies and position pieces into jigs, holding fixtures, or guides using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to technical specifications.
• Adhere to all standard safety practices, rules, and procedures, and maintain required records.

Requirements

• Proven experience performing as a Level 3 Fitter/Welder.
• Ability to fit and tack weld subassemblies or jackets.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and sketches.
• Ability to accurately measure components within specified tolerances.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established protocols.
