Senior Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems used in battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded processors
• Implement communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, and Ethernet
• Develop and implement control algorithms for battery management systems (BMS), including cell balancing and state estimation
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define hardware-software interfaces
• Perform rigorous testing and debugging using HIL systems, unit testing, and integration testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in embedded firmware development
• Experience in safety-critical software development and understanding of ASIL standards
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet) and RTOS
• Familiarity with ARM microcontroller architectures and development tools
• Proficiency with debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
