Senior Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with other disciplines to refine product impact and reliability
• Brainstorm and evaluate new features and solutions
• Test ideas and designs through simulations and validation tests
• Design firmware software for power electronics controls, system-level behaviors, and optimization
• Develop mobile app design and interfaces, system diagnostics, and updates
• Implement RF and powerline communication protocols and control algorithms
• Optimize manufacturing through automation support functionality

Requirements

• Experience with wireless mesh network frameworks like esp-wifi-mesh
• Experience in a development team releasing high-volume products with 24/7 reliability requirements
• Proficiency in C
• Working familiarity with cmake and Python
• Knowledge of Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and lab test equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in computer engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of experience delivering firmware for new products
• Experience with communication protocols, CAN, and Protocol Buffers
• Espressif ESP-IDF product development experience
• Experience with Embedded Ethernet stacks, TCP/IP, BSD Socket API, and HTTPS
• Wireless communication experience including WiFi, WiFi Mesh, Bluetooth/BLE, and BLE-Mesh
