Operating throughout the UK, Ireland and overseas, we investigate the origin and cause of fires and explosions and other accidents or failures on land and at sea.

Responsibilities

• Attend incident scenes, document and collect evidence, and interview witnesses
• Act as investigator for the origin, cause, and development of complex cases
• Liaise with experts representing other interested parties
• Produce high quality, detailed, and accurate technical reports
• Provide expert witness evidence when required
• Utilize case management systems to record all case-related activity
• Attend joint examinations and utilize specialist skills where necessary
• Maintain technical knowledge through continuous professional development
• Represent the company at meetings, conferences, and marketing events

Requirements

• Relevant experience or qualifications in fire investigation, fire engineering, forensic science, or related disciplines
• Essential practical experience regardless of academic background
• Strong analytical skills and ability to apply scientific approaches to forensic examination
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driving licence and ability to travel frequently across the UK and Ireland on short notice
