Operating throughout the UK, Ireland and overseas, we investigate the origin and cause of fires and explosions and other accidents or failures on land and at sea.

Responsibilities

• Attending incident scenes, documenting and collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses
• Acting as investigator in the investigation of the origin, cause and development of more complex cases
• Liaising with experts representing other interested parties
• Producing consistently high quality, detailed and accurate technical reports
• Providing expert witness evidence, where required
• Utilising case management systems to record all case-related activity
• Attending joint examinations and utilizing specialist skills
• Maintaining technical knowledge through continuous professional development
• Representing the company at marketing events, meetings, and conferences

Requirements

• Relevant experience or qualifications in fire investigation, fire engineering, forensic science, or related disciplines
• Practical experience in the field is essential
• Strong analytical skills and scientific approach to forensic examination
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driving licence and ideally a car owner
• Ability to travel frequently on short notice across Ireland and the UK, with potential overseas travel
