Senior Financial Planning Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop Wealth Planners and Wealth Managers within the Mass Affluent business.
• Formally supervise regulated activities and conduct observations based on the Training & Competence Scheme.
• Instil a strong risk and controls culture, ensuring regulations are observed and processes for escalation are embedded.
• Provide SME expertise to support the business and lead key initiatives.
• Assist relationship managers in managing client portfolios, optimizing client experience, and maintaining client information.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.
• Support the business head regarding the sales and suitability framework.

Requirements

• Level 4 Financial Planning qualification (RDR activity 4) or above (e.g., CISI IAD, CII).
• Proven experience supervising and managing advisers and providing technical guidance.
• Extensive experience in financial services, specifically with retail regulated products.
• In-depth knowledge of regulator guidance and the Training & Competence Scheme.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Structured approach to planning, problem-solving, and organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant supervisory experience across the UK market.
• Educated to degree level or above.
• Proven ability to establish and sustain clear operational processes for teams.
