Senior Financial Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Independently manage routine deliverables including portfolio review preparation, credit opinions, and outreach materials.
• Apply Moody’s ratings methodologies to create adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs to enhance research accuracy.
• Perform data intake, scrubbing, and validation to ensure data integrity for research and ratings processes.
• Analyze financial reports, official statements, and related documents to assess issuer performance and creditworthiness.
• Partner with analysts and accounting specialists to apply relevant accounting concepts and capture accurate data.
• Provide direction and resolve queries for junior team members to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in credit or financial data analysis and interpretation.
• Strong knowledge of capital markets.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or a qualified CA.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized with the ability to work in team-driven environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA or FRM certification.
• Experience in structured finance.
• Proficiency with data science and analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, or Alteryx.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts (Generative AI and Agentic AI systems) and interest in leveraging them for workflow optimization.
