Senior Financial Crime Investigator

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex FinCrime Business Banking tasks, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk businesses and multi-jurisdictional money muling investigations.
• Write, review, and submit high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the National Crime Agency (NCA).
• Maintain a regular schedule of core investigative tasks to support Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Actively coach and mentor investigators on complex financial crime typologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with Operations Analysts to share emerging trends and update operational guidance.

Requirements

• Deep KYB and AML expertise with significant experience in end-to-end business due diligence (KYB/EDD) within a regulated financial setting.
• Proven ability to leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT) to corroborate customer profiles and transactional activity.
• Strong understanding of UK and international financial crime trends and the UK SAR regime.
• Experience mentoring or coaching peers to drive excellence within a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities and new guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualifications such as ICA or ACAMS.
• A track record of identifying and escalating process improvements.
