About the role

Responsibilities

  • Compile, review, and process daily financial transactions, including cash deposits, vouchers, invoices, and purchase orders
  • Manage supply orders and reconcile p-card transactions in compliance with university regulations
  • Assist with quarterly and fiscal year close preparation and perform monthly budget variance analyses
  • Process specialized purchase orders for pharmacy, MRI, and animal care, maintaining detailed records
  • Act as an initial reviewer for departmental financial transactions to ensure policy compliance
  • Manage departmental petty cash and Lyft accounts, creating detailed reports for accurate allocation
  • Provide training to department staff and assist the Procurement Manager with reporting and deadlines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience
  • Experience working with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, Workday, Oracle, or Jaggaer)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and vendors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a healthcare, academic, or research environment
  • Knowledge of vendor management, contract administration, and competitive bidding/RFP processes
  • Experience with grant-funded or sponsored research purchasing and related compliance requirements
