Senior Financial Controls Analyst

Responsibilities

• Consult with business lines and enterprise functions on financial reporting, IT governance, and controls oversight
• Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas
• Plan and execute testing and monitoring for complex subject matter and control areas
• Perform end-to-end testing of SOX and regulatory reporting controls, including design and operating effectiveness
• Lead control walkthrough calls with Finance, Operations, and IT process owners
• Liaise with Internal Audit, External Auditors, and other assurance teams to support audits and reviews
• Review work performed by junior testers to ensure accuracy and adherence to methodology
• Contribute to transformation initiatives such as control rationalization and AI-enabled testing

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Reporting, or Business and Technology Audit
• Strong understanding of the COSO framework, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting controls
• Proven experience leading walkthroughs and managing diverse stakeholders
• Experience reviewing the work of others and providing professional coaching or mentoring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Exposure to automation, AI, or control rationalization initiatives
