About the role

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze financial performance, business trends, and market conditions to create accurate forecasts.
  • Consult with senior management on tactical and strategic decisions to maintain financial health and profitability.
  • Create complex financial models and manage databases for future planning and rate application processes.
  • Present financial information to municipal customers and assist with negotiations on behalf of the company.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to governmental agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Research and report on key metrics such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investment performance.
  • Draft daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports, including route analysis and processing statistics.
  • Identify and recommend cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities to management.

Requirements

  • Five years of relevant financial experience.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with expertise in financial modeling.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.
