Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Track financial performance and analyze business trends to create accurate forecasts
• Consult with senior management on tactical and strategic decisions to maintain profitability
• Present financial information to municipal customers and assist with negotiations
• Create complex financial models and prepare monthly/quarterly reports for governmental agencies
• Research and report on rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investment opportunities
• Prepare operating reports including route analysis, commodity shipping, and processing statistics
• Manage databases for future planning, such as tonnage models for rate applications
• Identify and recommend cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards
• High School diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• CFA or CPA certification preferred
