Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Calculate and review fees payable under Investment Management Agreements (IMAs)
• Prepare and review allocations of operating expenses across investment strategies and asset classes
• Build management reporting and analytics to provide financial insight to senior leadership
• Calculate investment performance for private asset strategies, including IRR and multiples
• Validate and reconcile performance and carry calculations with third-party providers
• Partner with Human Resources on carry compensation calculations and administration
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accruals
• Identify and implement opportunities to strengthen controls and improve process efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience at an asset manager or public accounting firm
• Meaningful exposure to private markets
• Hands-on experience with investment management fee calculations and expense allocations
• Experience calculating private investment performance metrics (IRR, MOIC)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with general ledger systems

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CFA designation (or progress toward either)
• Experience administering carried interest or performance-based incentive compensation
• Experience in private fund accounting or alternative investment operations
• Experience with performance or carry software
