Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform budgetary planning, analysis, formulation, and contract management for the Advanced Systems Integrated Product Team.
• Collect and interpret financial data to maintain annual spending plans and ensure efficient project execution.
• Interface with IPT personnel to obtain inputs for staffing, travel, material, and fees.
• Manage Common Spend Plan Tool (CSPT) resource requirements data entry and ensure validation with management.
• Coordinate with NAVAIR/NAWCAD/NSMA budget analysts and contract specialists to ensure timely contract awards.
• Analyze expenditure rate data, identify financial trends, and manage total contract labor hours and remaining dollars for multiple task orders.
• Provide guidance, performance oversight, and task coordination for team members as required.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret clearance with a background investigation completed within the last 5 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Nine (9) years of relevant experience in DoD financial management, including financial analysis and funds execution.
• Hands-on experience with CSPT and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to work onsite at NAS Patuxent River, MD.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a NAVAIR program office.
• Knowledge of the DoD milestone process (DoD 5000) and other acquisition policies.
• Familiarity with the DoD Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Systems (PPBS) process.
• Experience supporting the development of DoD financial reports.
