About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide financial accounting support, including analyzing and preparing routine and non-routine journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and conduct structured data analyses for consolidated results
- Produce accurate reports from the accounting system to ensure completeness of records
- Prepare sales tax filings in compliance with federal and provincial requirements
- Maintain compliance with internal financial controls and IFRS reporting standards
- Participate in monthly financial analysis, discussions of results, and annual budget development
- Support continuous improvement projects related to financial systems and business processes
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting
- CPA designation or close to obtaining designation
- 3+ years of experience in a similar financial analyst role
- Working understanding of the IFRS reporting framework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAP
