Senior Financial Analyst - Grants

Responsibilities

• Analyze research funding portfolios to assist principal investigators with resource and personnel allocation planning
• Generate monthly financial and payroll reports for reconciliation and develop comprehensive expenditure projections
• Ensure compliance with uniform guidance, sponsor regulations, and university policies regarding cost allowability and effort allocation
• Provide administrative support for grant transactions, including no-cost extensions, rebudgets, and closeouts
• Maintain organized electronic project records for audit readiness
• Mentor less experienced analysts and lead team trainings on complex post-award scenarios

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a similar major
• Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in a higher education or business setting
• Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, and budget management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks for various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with federal grant administration
