Senior Finance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage project finance, including budgets, actuals, forecasts, commitments, and cash flow for R&D projects
• Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts for R&D OPEX/CAPEX, and management reporting
• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Procurement to set project baselines and cost allocation rules
• Apply accounting treatments for development costs in compliance with internal policies and IFRS (e.g., IAS 38)
• Ensure accurate classification of costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, and prototyping
• Support external and internal audit processes and ensure adherence to the Group Delegation of Authority

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within R&D, engineering, manufacturing, or defense/aerospace
• Proven experience in project controlling, including WBS cost controlling and overhead allocation
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and Power BI for complex business modeling and analytics
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• CA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA designation
• Experience with Grant Accounting and income recognition
• Familiarity with Revenue Recognition standards (ASC 606)
