Senior Finance Administrator

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting.
• Develop and implement financial policies to improve departmental efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor and reconcile budgets, ensuring proper fund allocation and adherence to university guidelines.
• Conduct quarterly audits of expenditures and deliver monthly expense budget forecasts.
• Manage vendor relations, including negotiating pricing, processing invoices, and resolving discrepancies.
• Supervise and train junior finance staff, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Ensure accurate submission of expense reports and maintain appropriate contract documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for central university departments on all fiscal matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in budget management and customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with a diverse community in a customer-service capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Banner Finance.
• Experience with Enterprise Finance Systems, QuickBooks, Concur, Cognos, or TM1 (IBM) budget software.
