Senior Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Collect samples of products or raw materials from containers, vessels, barges, trucks, and rail
• Label sample containers and document collection details including location, date, and time
• Deliver samples to the laboratory for analysis
• Prepare samples through reduction and division to appropriate sizes
• Perform sample screening and related physical tests
• Ensure all equipment and containers are organized and cleaned
• Maintain compliance with local and federal safety processes and PPE requirements
• Provide technical advice, training, and support to Field Technicians
• Serve as Team Leader in the absence of a Supervisor or Manager
• Monitor staff and assist in completing tasks according to work procedures
• Maintain area housekeeping and perform routine equipment maintenance

Requirements

• Associate degree or High School (GED) with equivalent experience
• Experience in industrial, laboratory, or field services settings
• Experience following strict safety standards
• Ability to work night shifts (5pm to 5am)

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid and current Driver’s license
• Ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card)
• Ability to obtain 24-hour MSHA certificate
