Senior Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for troubleshooting and general inquiries
• Perform on-site field service including warranty support, commissioning, and acceptance testing
• Travel up to 50-70% for service repairs, training, and startups
• Conduct functional testing of controllers and custom-built controls at the component level
• Support engineering research, development, and equipment evaluation
• Ensure site safety compliance and adhere to customer guidelines

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience combination
• Proficiency in reading wiring schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience with 12 VDC to 125 VDC and 120 VAC to 500kVAC systems
• Experience with relay logic, PLC-based circuits, and motor control systems
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and switchboard testing
• Knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment
• Ability to install and troubleshoot SEL, Multilane, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE PLCs
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NFPA and NEC
• Ability to travel on short notice and maintain a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours
