Senior Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Flygt submersible and dry-pit pumps and related electrical control systems
• Perform repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance at service centers or customer sites
• Diagnose and report wear or damage to customers and provide repair recommendations
• Create accurate parts and repair lists for customer approval
• Test all repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and quality
• Maintain field service vehicles and equipment in proper working order
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
• Participate in an on-call rotation to assist customers after hours
• Follow EHS&S guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years of equipment maintenance experience, preferably in wastewater collection or treatment systems
• Advanced knowledge of 12v/24v DC and 120v-480v AC electrical systems and motors
• Proficiency with multi-meter and megger testing
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely
• Strong logical troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and management

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year Electro/Mechanical technical training or equivalent
• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and soft start systems
• Knowledge of SCADA controls and MODBUS communication integration
• Experience using iPads or tablets for digital documentation
• Valid DOT Medical card
