Senior Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of complex vehicle software and hardware issues as a regional escalation point
• Serve as the first responder for geo-specific escalations and priority initiatives
• Act as the senior Field Engineer on shift, setting technical priorities and mentoring others
• Own projects, processes, or systems end-to-end from definition to delivery
• Identify recurring fleet issues, operational bottlenecks, or reliability risks
• Act as a liaison between Field Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders
• Ensure technical learnings are documented and shared globally

Requirements

• Advanced technical expertise diagnosing vehicle software and hardware in automotive, robotics, or ADAS environments
• Basic understanding of software concepts like logs, deployments, and configuration
• Proven ability to solve ambiguous problems autonomously
• Experience in operational leadership and setting technical priorities
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic tools, monitoring platforms (Datadog, Mender), and JIRA
• Ability to work in a shift-based, 24/7 global support environment including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting or leading on-road testing operations
• Strong understanding of ADAS or autonomous vehicle systems
• Experience working closely with software engineering teams in production or fleet environments
• Previous experience acting as a senior or lead-in-practice within a technical team
