Senior Field Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for Microchip's broad portfolio of security products and solutions
• Drive design wins and grow the security opportunities funnel by working closely with Sales and Business teams
• Provide in-depth engineering support to assist customers with hardware and software development
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions and demos to help clients familiarize themselves with Microchip products
• Provide customer feedback to Business Lines to influence future security-related product roadmaps
• Travel to customer sites for training, support, and engagement as needed

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in embedded systems with strong technical skills
• BS in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent degree
• Knowledge of hardware and software design for microcontroller/microprocessor-based embedded systems
• Expertise in embedded security cryptography, PKI principles, and certificate management
• Working knowledge of hardware-based security techniques such as HSM, TrustZone, and Secure Boot
• Proficiency in embedded C programming language
• Understanding of IoT systems and cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strong organizational, presentation, and training skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microchip microcontrollers/microprocessors
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux
• Previous experience in technical design or technical support roles
