About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Microchip FPGAs to drive design wins and revenue
- Engage in client system architectural discussions, focusing on FPGA requirements and supporting ICs
- Act as an authority on programmable logic design, including HDL development, simulation, synthesis, and timing closure
- Conduct architectural and board-level schematic reviews, as well as product training for customers
- Support client development processes from initial design-in through to post-production
- Collaborate with global product divisions to provide feedback and ROI data regarding client investments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., BSEE, BSCE)
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in semiconductor applications or sales
- In-depth experience with Microsemi, Xilinx, or Altera FPGA devices and proficiency in Verilog or VHDL
- Experience with Libero, Vivado, or Quartus FPGA design software and EDA tools
- Knowledge of high-speed serial transceivers, PCIe, DDR3/4, LPDDR3/4, and MIPI
- Experience with embedded soft or ASIC-based CPUs (RISC-V or ARM architecture)
- Board-level hardware experience, including power supply decoupling and high-speed signal routing
- Proficiency in C programming and experience with software debug tools (e.g., Keil, IAR, or Eclipse)
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
