Senior Field Applications Engineer

About the Company

Cambridge GaN Devices (CGD) is a fabless semiconductor company and a spin-out of the University of Cambridge. We develop energy-efficient GaN-based power devices to make greener electronics possible and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Responsibilities

• Product promotion for all CGD products and supporting demand creation activity in China
• Providing technical training, user guides, demonstrations, and delivering seminars to customers and distributors
• Solving technical issues for Chinese customers
• Providing technical support to distributors to enable business creation
• Collecting application trends and component requirements data to assist in strategy roadmap development

Requirements

• University degree in Electronic Engineering
• Demonstrable working experience in SMPS engineering
• Experience as an FAE in a semiconductor company, ideally with SMPS applications
• Familiarity with TPFC, PFC+LLC, and Flyback topologies
• Experience designing high-power applications (Power >2KW)
• Fluent English skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
