Senior Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers regarding EV battery product performance, specifications, and quality issues
• Collaborate with internal engineering, quality, manufacturing, and headquarters teams to resolve field application issues
• Support root cause analysis, failure analysis, containment, and corrective actions
• Review technical data, performance trends, and field reports to identify risks and improvement opportunities
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
• Communicate investigation progress, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders
• Support product qualification, validation, and technical discussions with customers
• Travel to customer locations, manufacturing sites, or field locations as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 7 years of engineering, quality, customer support, or field application experience preferred
• Experience in lithium-ion batteries, EV battery systems, or automotive manufacturing preferred
• Experience supporting customer-facing technical issues or field investigations preferred
• Ability to analyze technical data and communicate findings to diverse audiences
• Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Tier 1 automotive environments
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis and failure analysis methods
