Senior FF&E Designer

Responsibilities

• Prepare working briefs and concept designs (RIBA Stages 1–2)
• Prepare spatial planning, schematic design schemes, furniture layouts, and decorative lighting plans
• Develop design presentations, joinery detailing, and material palettes (RIBA Stage 3)
• Prepare tender documentation packages including drawings, schedules, and specifications (RIBA Stage 4)
• Manage the FF&E procurement process including sourcing, logistics, delivery, and installation
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, sub-consultants, and engineering services
• Lead and assist junior and mid-weight designers through key RIBA stages
• Attend site inspections to resolve design queries and coordinate installations
• Maintain budget parameters and support Design Directors with fee proposals and resourcing

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the Interior Design or Architecture industry
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or FF&E Design
• Strong AutoCAD skills for documentation up to RIBA Stage 4+
• Proven experience leading Interior Design and FF&E packages for luxury residential or hospitality projects
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
• Strong technical knowledge of architectural detailing, joinery, and FF&E buildability
• Understanding of UK building regulations and standards
• Experience on-site liaising with contractors and project managers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SketchUp or 3D Studio Max
• Proficiency with EstiMac or similar FF&E software
• Exceptional knowledge of materials, fabrics, lighting, and sanitaryware
