Senior Facility Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for multiple facilities and pipeline projects, including well tie-ins, compressor stations, and gas plants
• Act as a senior technical advisor to Asset Teams and Operations, supporting Management of Change (MOC) and troubleshooting operational issues
• Oversee project AFE preparation, forecasting, approvals, and cost control
• Direct engineering deliverables, including design reviews and HAZOPs, through EPC consultants
• Ensure all designs are compliant with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Coordinate regulatory and stakeholder requirements, including AER facility and pipeline license applications
• Manage procurement strategies, technical evaluations, and contract awards
• Lead commissioning and start-up activities to ensure safe transition to operations
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in project execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of progressive experience in oil and gas facilities and pipeline project execution
• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng. with APEGA)
• Deep working knowledge of CSA Z662, ASME B31.3, NACE standards, and AER directives
• Strong expertise in project management, including scope, scheduling, and risk management
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and external contractors
• Ability to work in Calgary with regular field travel (approximately 5-10%)
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
