Senior Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, installation, maintenance, and major repairs of building equipment, accessories, and components.
• Maintain the operation of HVAC systems, building automation, programmable logic controllers, and electrical disciplines.
• Manage and maintain pollution control equipment and other lab-related equipment.
• Oversee spare parts management and equipment asset registries.
• Assist in the training and supervision of other staff regarding building equipment and operations.
• Coordinate with external contractors for periodic or as-needed work and write bid specifications.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets for equipment repairs and replacements.
• Supervise building maintenance personnel in the absence of management.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent in a related discipline (e.g., Electrical Automation).
• At least 8 years of directly related experience in facilities maintenance.
• Valid Electrician certificate.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, building automation, and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform complex repairs and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, responsible attitude.
