About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead maintenance teams or vendors during routine PMs, projects, and new roll-outs
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production, lab utility, and facility equipment
- Diagnose, repair, and test systems, parts, and components to ensure safe operational conditions
- Conduct routine rounds to monitor equipment and detect faulty operations
- Support the development of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Calibration tasks and procedures
- Oversee projects and repairs performed by outside vendors and contractors
- Support quality audits, CAPAs, deviations, and GMP investigations
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain a safe, clean work environment
Requirements
- 5 years of advanced electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or system repair experience
- Strong electro-mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, and drives
- Knowledge of LOTO, hotwork, heights, and NFPA70E safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, manuals, and drawings
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Proven leadership and management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in an engineering discipline or completion of a craft apprenticeship
- Experience in the life science or medical device industry
- Licensure in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or PLC
- Experience with industrial manufacturing involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Knowledge of 5S/6S techniques and Lean Manufacturing skills
- Familiarity with CAD/Solidworks or MS Project
