Senior Facilities Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Independently operate and maintain critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in supercomputing data centers
• Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC, power, and environmental controls
• Oversee maintenance and optimization of power, cooling, and environmental systems
• Ensure MEP infrastructure site safety and environmental compliance with local and regional requirements
• Provide operational expertise for equipment including pumps, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, generators, UPS, and switchgear
• Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
• Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns and support commissioning efforts
• Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 6+ years of hands-on facilities operations experience
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles
• Experience with critical systems documentation, including Plans, Procedures, and Operations Manuals
• Experience with Building and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems
• Strong troubleshooting and technical writing skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight quarters or at elevated heights (up to 100 feet)
• Ability to work flexible shifts for 24x7 coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver’s license
