Senior Facilities Engineer

About the Company

fab2 is an early-stage hardware startup founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller. The team designs and builds the hardware, software, fabs, tools, and components needed to make chips.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate construction and install projects from ideation to delivery and operation
• Perform and coordinate day-to-day facilities maintenance and repairs across office, lab, and production areas
• Troubleshoot and fix issues with building systems, equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure
• Support lab and R&D teams with equipment moves, setups, and facility needs
• Coordinate and escort vendors and contractors when specialized work is required
• Help keep facilities safe, organized, and operational

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil, Construction Management, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects (industrial or manufacturing preferred)
• Familiarity with basic safety practices and facility compliance
• Experience with HVAC, MEP systems, or process equipment
• Experience with general maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and building systems
• Experience with preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Experience working in an active lab or light industrial environment
• Ability to travel up to 50% to various work sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor, hardware, lab, or manufacturing environments
• Experience supporting fast-growing or startup teams
