Senior Facilities Electrician

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of building systems, lighting, and equipment
• Install, test, and inspect electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
• Oversee electrical aspects of construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects
• Maintain and update electrical schematics, panels, and as-built documentation
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior electricians and maintenance staff
• Collaborate with Facilities leadership on preventive maintenance programs and capital projects
• Support emergency response and after-hours repairs as needed
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and internal safety protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and a technical trade certification
• Valid California Journeyman or Master Electrician License
• 5+ years of progressive electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings
• Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA safety standards, and energy systems
• Proven experience leading projects and mentoring staff
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, building automation, or energy efficiency systems
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
