Senior Fabric Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end fabric development lifecycle, from material research and innovation to industrialization for Creative Director capsules
• Collaborate with the Creative Director and Paris atelier to source seasonal fabrics that align with brand vision and manufacturing feasibility
• Drive material innovation by identifying new fabrics, constructions, and technologies to enhance creative expression and commercial viability
• Partner with Raw Materials Sourcing to onboard new vendors and ensure materials are scalable, cost-effective, and production-ready
• Oversee sampling and prototyping in partnership with Product Development to ensure accurate execution of material intent
• Manage color development in coordination with the Toronto color team, ensuring smooth transitions from lab dips to bulk production
• Coach and mentor junior talent, including the Fabric Associate Developer, to support professional growth and technical excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design, fine arts, or a related field
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience working with fabric suppliers and third-party testing facilities
• Deep technical knowledge of textiles, non-textile manufacturing technologies, and performance materials
• Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Box, and SharePoint
• Fluency in both French and English (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines in a fast-paced environment
