Senior External Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with Producers, Leads, and Development Managers to plan and execute co-development and external content production initiatives
• Build strong relationships with external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery
• Forecast external development needs, manage budgets, and support long-term resource planning
• Identify production risks and work proactively with stakeholders to resolve issues
• Improve external development processes, workflows, and collaboration methods
• Support partner onboarding, contracts, and information security processes in collaboration with Sony teams
• Mentor project stakeholders on best practices for working with external partners

Requirements

• Experience leading External Development, Outsourcing, Co-Development, or Project Management in AAA game development
• Proven ability to manage external partners and build long-term relationships
• Strong understanding of game development pipelines and production methodologies
• Experience managing budgets and making financial decisions
• Ability to build alignment across diverse stakeholders and disciplines
• Experience working with international teams across different cultures and time zones
• Experience contributing to the successful shipment of at least one AAA PC or console title
