Senior Expert (Design Director), Apparel & Accessories Design, Energy

Responsibilities

• Establish Apparel Design Direction with external collaborators to ensure cohesion across multiple collections and consumers
• Drive business critical design initiatives to elevate Nike Apparel through narrative and storytelling
• Build and maintain standards of practice and design excellence for quality and consistency
• Lead a team of designers in delivering innovative and well-crafted physical executions
• Manage individual development, performance, recognition, and rewards for the design team
• Partner with cross-functional teams including product management, global merchandising, and brand marketing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in apparel design
• Proven experience leading creative teams and managing designers
• Strong knowledge of fashion, design, and lifestyle trends
• Proficiency in industrial design skills including sketching, ideation, color theory, and textile use
• Digital design competence in Adobe Creative Cloud and 3D tools
• Ability to build seasonal concepts and long-term vision
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A portfolio of work is required for consideration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience acting as a strategic creative partner to cross-category partners
• Ability to lead with a team-first approach to craft strong culture and connectivity
